Welcome to New Mexico Creates!

Congratulations to poet Joan Logghe for her appointment as Santa Fe's third Poet Laureate. You can read about it in the Santa Fe New Mexican.  Joan will be a part of the 2010 New Mexico Women Author's Book Festival as well, which takes place October 2 & 3rd.  A special appearance by Anne Lamott will kick of this wonderful week, which is dedicated to talented women authors.

Last year we partnered with New Mexico Highlands University and the Department of Cultural Affairs to produce a few videos of New Mexico Creates artists.  Thanks to this wonderful project, you can see videos of Jolene Eustace, Ruben Gonzales and Wanda Lobito, talking about their art and craft.
